I found a site not too long ago that listed quite a lot of the available free and paid relay options, sorting them by which hash tags they support, where they are located, etc. I used that as a guide to add a bunch and initially thought the more relays the better. Haven't had the opportunity to continue down that rabbit hole since then to know if that is the best philosophy.
