I have a couple of family members who aren’t ready for an orange-pill, so I’m going to make them an “early Christmas gift” of 100K sats each.
When I give these gifts someday, I’ll be able to say, “this cost about $30 in 2023 USD, and now…..“ just to offer that first lesson in low time preference (and perhaps NGU 😉)

Essentially it’s the opendime version 2
Load sats onto an address, which is stored on the card with NFC+PIN
The you can hand the card to someone - and they can check the balance, accept the physical card as payment without waiting for transaction confirmation, and later sweep the sats into their own wallet.
But unlike the more expensive, single-use opendime (as dope and cyberpunk as those are), this has 10 “slots” so it can be reused after the first person sweeps the funds.
