Just a word of warning with big bones. Dogs can crack molars on hefty bones. Although its usually older dogs. Arnie will likely be fine as he is very young

Good to know

I've heard something similar with the splints and possibly choking hazards

We usually take it away after about 15 mins once he gets some meat off of it

Put it in the fridge and do it again tomorrow

I feed lots of small raw rabbit bones to my dogs. No issues. Ive been doing that for about 15 years. They just crunch them up and swallow. Ive heard this roughage is good for them. It also stimulates the anal glands to release when they shit. Maybe more than you wanted to know there lol

Just my dogs fighting over a deer hide they found somewhere on the property, NBD
