The only thing that stop me to try #GrapheneOS is the Google Pay that is not supported. I always use my phone to pay in stores and at restaurants !
Is there any crypto solution that could be used to interact with the PayPass (wireless pay) ?!
If your bank or credit card company has their own tap to pay you can get around this but most don't.
Amex does if that helps you. I set GrapheneOS to use Amex instead of Google for tap to pay. When I tap it the Amex app comes up.
I second this ! This works, if you have a bank that supports it !
NFC payments through Google Pay will not work on GrapheneOS as they require a Google certified OS.
And remember, security and privacy come at a cost, and itβs always about trade-offs.
Indeed. For my other accounts I just carry the cards with me. Mild inconvenience? Yes. Worthwhile tradeoff for a super secure and private phone? Absolutely.

The way to find out is open up your settings and search for contactless payment methods. See mine for example.
If an app on your phone supports this, it'll show on the list.
