This is Canada you’re showing.
They’re not arresting people for speech here, yet.

are you kidding. This country will even try to arrest non-citizens located in other countries for saying things the government doesn't like.
Have you heard of Julian Assange?

.

Hyperbolic much?
Julian isn’t typical speech with multiple legal issues surrounding his arrests and detainment.
Freedom of Speech is meaningless if you only protect the speech you like and agree with. No person should be jailed or penalized for speaking truth.
Journalists and publishers have legal protections for this very reason.
A nation has no authority over a non-citizen located outside it's own borders. The laws of a nation only apply within it's own borders or outside its borders for it's own citizens in some cases.
This particular case is cut and dry. The US government has overstepped.
And yes I picked a big interest story to make a point...
The point was poorly made.
Nitpicky bullshit.
This will go through the courts and the police will have to pay for this.
Now, in Canada or England if you say something against the police or public policy like “fuck the trans pedos” the police will show up at you door - legally.
Quit barking up stupid fucking trees and focus on the real issues.
