Ya, when I was a part of that culture, it was a lot of Terrance McKenna very progressive and the Esalen institute the hippiest place on earth.

What part of McKenna do you find to be progressive?
It has been a long time since I have read or listened to him. I don’t think it’s there in his books, but maybe in his talks. At the very least, he attracted a lot of progressive followers and it is where I believe the movement has lead. He in actuality is probably an anarcho/leftist. But look at the movement, it became MAPS petitioning the government for legality where institutions have to be built to facilitate the meeting the machine elves. 🤣
