Parker Lewis is a smart dude, but he has beclowned himself on the topic of #nostr.
Good lesson in actually learning about something properly before attempting to speak with confidence about it.

He is a legend. Wrote the “Gradually Then Suddenly” series of essays about 4 years ago. Founded Uncahined. Standing up Zaprite now. A true luminary. Nostr does seem to be a blind spot for him. He is just laser focused on #bitcoin.
He seems to conflate Bitcoin’s decentralisation and censorship-resistance with Nostr’s in a really weird way.
No-one has ever claimed nostr has the same properties in the same manner as Bitcoin, yet he seems to think that’s how Nostriches see it which is bizarre projection on his part. And because he can’t get past this hang up, he doesn’t understand the importance of a social layer which specifically isn’t Bitcoin and how that might have a flywheel effect for Bitcoin.
Think he’ll come to regret his current opinion in a few years.
