I dug it 3 inches down and flared the chicken wire out. Will also be adding loam and compost around it to build up. Hope that’s good enough

I've definitely seen rabbit holes going deeper than that. I would have gone for something closer to 8-10 inches. Hope it works tho, just my two sats. Keep an eye on the gate too, in case they star munching the wood!
I had domestic bunnies even they got through that in a month or so
