As mentioned asahi Linux is the main option. However it’s probably not the best place to start with Linux as a beginner as it still has some rough edges from what I hear. Linux Mint on an old non apple silicon computer is probably the easiest lowest risk option that I usually recommend. 👍🏻👍🏻
