An important note about VPNs. They are often sold with the implied idea that it's a magic privacy tool. It absolutely is not.

Your ISP MIGHT not see what you're connected to, but...

If you visited a site Facebook tracks while on VPN, or with anything Meta sitting in your browser or device, all that VPN traffic is associated with you

Same goes for Google, Microsoft, any of it.

If your DNS is not set correctly, your VPN cover is entirely blown.
