I hear you. I was working a 9-5 at the time when I left, but I was pretty miserable. I felt unappreciated and there was no room for upward mobility or growth… part of why I was having a “wtf am I doing with my life” crisis haha.

I don’t want to tell you to leave a job you love (or if it’s keeping you afloat). For my age, I was decently ahead of the game and I was in a position where I felt like I could make this happen without making my life more complicated. Only you can answer whether or not the timing is right for you.

The experiences I had, challenges I faced and memories I made will forever be more valuable than anything I could have gotten from an additional 2 months grinding the 9-5. Gave me the courage to come home and build my current business

Btw, if you do choose to go - I’m a bit of a gear nut. I love the ultralight backpacking world and trying to keep weight to a minimum. If you need gear recommendations, hit me up!
