Did you hear the story of the Russian music teacher who, along with his students, got rugpulled after uploading their music to a certain Nostrified music platform because of "the embargoes?" Completely pissed me off and drove me to being the decentralized music extremist I am today. πŸ˜‚ Sooooo antithetical to the P2P nature of Bitcoin, but hey, that can happen when you let a company custody your songs and sats...

I did not hear about that!!!! I can only assume we're talking about that pool ripple? I deleted my shit there last tuesday. Eager to see if it actually works, because unpublishing didn't!

What's the full story?

It was Wavlake. πŸ˜…

ah yes, the Ripple pool πŸ˜…

Haha I love that name and did not catch your drift πŸ˜‚

Is Wavlake not recommended?

The 10% take seemed like a good way to dip a toe in for me.

Oh, I see. US-registered company enacting sanctions/tariff/etc. 😱

Wavlake is a decent way to dip your toes in to start and get a sense for the space. We started there too. But we have since migrated to a slightly more decentralized and self sovereign solution.

We are admittedly not 100% self sovereign in this sense as we still use a third party media host so we still have work to do. But everyone should at least continue learning and strive for full self sovereignty.

Oh, and here are the receipts... 🐸🍡

Has anyone attempted to reach out with the #demu solution?

Yeah, we reached out to him but he wasn't ready.
