Ripped out a bathroom today and helped put a header in to take out a wall. I'm amazed by people that do this day in and day out. Practical engineering at it's best

I once helped a guy tear out the old lath and plaster from a house built in 1910.
Inside the wall, I found a pack of rolling papers, and a completely dried banana peel. The guy who built that wall took a break in that spot 100 years earlier, and walled it up.
