somethings might be morally wrong, and you would wanna punish someone for it. such as:
- a software is not working right, causes someone to die.
- someone uses a vulnerability to "hack" you.
- someone lied to you about something and you didnt verify it and they scammed you.
- you made a video but somebody else reuploaded it to somewhere else.
- you made a song but people are listening and downloading it for free
- you build something but someone else cloned it and selling it for cheaper.
- you invested in something but they stole your money.
all of these are morally bad things, and there is a law against many of these. but there shouldn't really be any law against any of this. you are just getting mad at something because you wanna held someone responsible and create laws out of feelings, change the game rules because you mad. instead of adapting.
- unless you can prove that it was done on purpose, a software error causing someone to die is not murder.
- someone using a vulnerability "hack" you is just someone using the existing rules of code to work around the rules. they just study and use the rules, they dont break any rule.
- its your fault that you didnt verify something and instead decided to trust a stranger or sometimes someone you know. words are not law. it might not be pretty, it might be "unfair" but its your fault.
- copyright is unnatural, and is an insult to nature civilizations and reality. copying something is not stealing it, its recreating it. nobody steals your hard-drive or your brain, they copy it to another hard-drive or their own brain. copyright shouldn't have existed and we shouldn't have built other businesses and systems around it. instead we should have adapted that it doesn't exists and built systems around that instead. rn if you remove copyright from the laws, nothing will break, creator will still get paid by their patreons, people will still go to creator's original social and content profiles. people will still be able to find the original op, and donate money so they continue doing what they are doing, instead of getting the unnatural copyright money. people will copy aggregate and derive many other works from their work easily without thinking over it too much. streaming will be able to have many other alternatives. shows and movies will be able to have many alternative timelines and what ifs. and the market of donating viewers will decide which timeline for which show should continue, especially as ai generated videos becomes easier this will become easier too because you will not need to actors themselves, to make an alternative timelines where the market decides what is the mainstream cannon.
- same thing above applies for real products as well, you can copy anything.
- and investing in something where you can be scammed is also your fault.
