I’m inclined to agree. This is a life lesson that things don’t always go your way - however harshly delivered.

As for kid, I’d find that same activity outside of school if possible.

You could also just show up in school and create a shitstorm. 50/50 gets into orchestra or gets expelled.

As harsh as this sounds, I tend to agree. Communication is key, talk about why these things happened, how she can navigate the emotions, and crush it next time.
