Perhaps the time is now for me to appreciate gin again. I used to get an allergice reaction to gin. For a long time I avoided it until I was served a gin called, The Botanist by mistake not long ago and nothing happened to me.

It turns out, I was drinking shit gin many moons ago that gave me hives. I'm still cautious now.. fortunately I'm not going to die from it. Just going to be covered in hives and itch for days.

Wait, where are you at now?

Is it in Africa?

I'm still in Rwanda.

Sweet!

I have seen little of it from you.

I don't drink much. But I have enjoyed Tanqueray in the past.

If You're vulnerable to any strong allergic reactions to anything. You should always have some 30 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride tablets with you at all times.

An epinephrine inhaler will also work. It's a little faster acting. But sometimes they don't work mechanically. Like being out of gas. So, I never trust them without some pseudoephedrine hydrochloride tablets as a backup.

Plus you should also keep an antihistamine like Benadryl (diphenhydramine). With you at all times too.

You can use the pseudoephedrine hydrochloride tablets. Or the inhaler at the first sign of trouble. Then follow with the antihistamine. Follow box instructions.

This routine can give you time to seek medical follow-up, and may prevent anaphylactic shock..๐Ÿ˜Š

That was really my only allergy experience from food or beverage.

I'm glad. Hopefully you won't have any more problems. But if you do hopefully they'll be mild..๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿ˜Š

i used to get asthma from Smirnoff Vodka.

rubbish grain alcohols made from certain types of grains or something, idk what... and the process, also idk what, but the distinctive thing was a nasty smell to it that i have thought of as being acetaldehyde.

if you have ever studied the business of alcohol fermentation and the stuff that ends up in the distillate depending on how you do it, you would be a lot more cautious about what you put into your body.

like that throat warming thing... that's not ethanol. that's literally isopropanol.

The Botanist is delicious. I also recommend Monkey 47 and Hendrickโ€™s.

Now that you know you can drink gin, you should try an Aviation cocktail ๐Ÿ˜

Try some original English ones, Plymouth gin is the oldest distillery that is still running

Ooh interesting!

It was originally called Black Friars but itโ€™s the same distillery

Also gin used to be the navyโ€™s drink of choice before rum
