they are powerful openers but don't have the durability of meditation and prayer
they can actually become a liability to a person's advancement because they literally are reset switches for your paradigms, and very many contexts in which people take them are either random or maliciously crafted
I'm ever more suspicious of them since pharmacaia was explicitly taught to man by The Watchers who fell.
