For me, that happens when my brain gets stuck like a record in a groove.

Have you tried listening to ASMR?

If you can find an ASMR person with the right voice to calm and relax you, then you can focus on their voice instead of the thoughts in your head and you drift off pretty quick.

No matter how jacked up my brain is, it works for me.

There are lots of good ASMR videos on YouTube. It'll take a bit to find the right voice for you, but there's a lid for every pot.
