landing on the moon is trivially simple. if you can land on mars you can land on moon.
the hard ( impossible ? ) part is going BACK.
this is why the moon landings were fake. not because you can't land on the moon. but because you can't come back.

actually let me rephrase that. landing on the moon is extremely hard and harder than landing on mars because there is no atmosphere so you can't parachute down.
still, it is getting back that is the hard part.
i mean you could send SOMETHING back but it would have to be extremely light.
a capsule with people inside is fairly heavy. to launch it from the surface of the moon you would need a fair bit of fuel, which itself would add even more weight.
so what they accomplished today is infinitely less daunting than what they fraudulently claimed to have accomplished 50 years ago.
they can't even get that thing back up after it tipped over but they want us to believe they can launch a space craft with a crew off the surface of the moon and back to earth.
and that they did it half a century ago.
There are dozens of reasons why people never got to the moon, much less return from it.
you're right. like a fool, i spoke before thinking. it's just that until now i never had to consider the landing part. i only ever considered the improbability of going back.
