How is giving btc to banks that will do who knows what shenanigans with it a good thing?
Id guess it will make banks brokers of bitcoin, similar to stock brokerage firms. Holders will only have some sort of secondary claim on their corn (would be surprised if they allowed self custody).
This will suppress price since it will mint more papercoiners who think they "own" bitcoin
