Kyoto is a pretty big city.

they have a lot of parks and temples and shrines so its possible to get away from the insanity. and we didnt destroy it during the war so there's still old shit.

In 10yrs I never went to Tokyo tbh. not my scene.

but rural Japan is fantastic too.

Basically Japan is so old, every place you go is different.

it might just be the next village down the road but theyll have a local specialty and difference they are extremely proud of.

or like in kyoto the individual neighborhoods think differently of themselves...

its on a scale and context we cant really comprehend.
