What do we desire? Like Deleuze and Guattari, we are only the breaks in the flows of desire. We desire the most frictionless journey from one flow to another. We desire smoothness. We desire a certain way of doing things. We desire the path of least resistance. We see this in the rise of hyper reality and mass art. We see this with the speed at which we require in every area of life. We can see this with our obsession with asmr sounds on top of satisfying videos. Every facet of our lives incentivizes this certain trajectory. We have this state of affairs where we must maintain a structure.
