have you viewed the keepassXC project? i use this strictly as a backup and store offline. never seen that nonsense on their site.

Thank you. I guess that is what I was looking for. (Linux) I wonder why the name is so similar? Same company? It does look better.

there is a story behind it. short story, creative differences and lazy people is my take. some motivated people broke off and did better imo.
