bitcoin is changing payments — it’s really obvious to me that the regulatory framework for payment businesses is due for a big update now that immediate transfer of value is possible in a trustless manner. whatever jurisdiction figures this out is going to unleash a really interesting revolution in terms of peer to peer transactions

a lot of regulations are in place such that people can transact via counterparties they place trust in; trustless protocols are revolutionary for value exchange, especially at a distance
Interesting, but the surveillance imperative is more important to the big countries. They'll fight these protocols as long as possible. The short term future belongs to the leichtensteins, bhutans, and singapores of the world who have only to gain.
