Opencode is just an incredible extensible coding agent with solid minimal tools and a great interface. An easy choice for daily driver
For me goose is more surgical - I use recipes for specific and repeated workflows and lead
/worker mode to separate the thinking capabilities out from the tool calling for my model usage
What is the benefit of using both? Cant you achieve the same by using only goose?
It is nuanced! Certain models work better in different “harnesses” and also the workflows / interface are different between them. Goose can be effective in many agentic workflows outside of coding where with opencode obviously the main value is in AI coding
