I spent just short of an hour digging the grass out of a bed to plant some raspberries that a friend is giving me when she thins her bed. I need to dig about the same amount more before getting the raspberries tomorrow evening. I need to be smarter and do my digging in the cool of the morning and not the heat of the afternoon.

The good news is that my teenage son offered a half day of garden work, so he will be going to dig up the raspberries, bring them home, and help me plant them.
