Relativism vs Objectivism ready… fight!

Objective in this case means: independent of PERSONAL opinion.

Philosophers debate, whether moral truth is objective, relative to a society, or relative to an individual (cultural relativism, individual relativism)

Each of those 3 possibilities contain their own problems. Why would you say that objectivism is superior to group-relativism?

By definition, a group is a collection of at least 2 or more INDIVIDUALS.

No. You either understand objective morality or you do not.

The CORRECT DEFINITION of the word "morality" is as follows: AN ACTION THAT CAUSES NO HARM TO ANY SENTIENT BEING.

Thats all. It's not a philosophers debate. It's simple facts.

Natural Law (Universal Law)

I’m not taking a side here, just hoping to understand how you decided on yours as opposed to some that equally intelligent and dedicated folks seem to choose instead.

So far it sounds like you’d say that there is this moral principle of doing no harm which you see as fundamental, and this is the main reason you believe in objectivism?

So with that, how do you balance the harm done to future sentient beings with those of today? If you must harm, how do you balance harm done to people afar vs close by?

Generally speaking, how did you come to decide that you understand objective morality and others who disagree are wrong as opposed to the other way around (epistemology)?

Moral relativism is when you believe you can decide what behavior is right and what behavior is wrong based on your own preferences, thus a subjective view.

As matter of fact, moral relativism is a tenet of Satanism.

That would be individual relativism not cultural relativism.

How do you know your moral objectivism isn’t just cultural relativism?

Please read the entire text again and recognize the context in which I used the word "culture".

We are starting to talk past each other.

👍

Maybe it’s my Nostr app not showing everything here, but where did you use the word culture? Want to make sure I don’t miss parts as I’m reading through your messages again 🫂

To your last question. I just gave you the correct definition of the word morality. Based on the definition, the question should have been answered.
