This hasn’t been my experience. Most designers are very careful not to shit on other design work (specifically when talking to designers) because they’ve been there themselves. It is usually other stakeholders and developers who say things carelessly, not considering that maybe the designer was trying to satisfy their stakeholders and what you see is actually a product of design by committee (hint: it often is).
