Custodial known to be safe, requires a bit of know how (outside of USA): Phoenix Wallet
If in USA, AQUA could be a good option, known to be safe, FOSS, fees are a bit high but the user experience was build thinking on adoption of new users
Build up to self custody over time, take your time
