Just like cash, I can't know that you have it and how much. If you buy it off an exchange, your on-chain adresses it tied to your name forever.

But isn’t it very hard to keep it non kyc? I mean you have to put it in an extra wallet, haven’t you? And never send Satoshis from your kyc wallet to that pr vice versa?

yeah, you have to keep it organized. Depending on your privacy needs, that option can be worthwhile.

As soon as they’re deposited in a wallet with KYC, they’re traceable and they become “dirty” but if you keep them separate, no way to trace or prove tax liability
