i’ve always thought the crux of private messaging was the need to move between systems and protocols under different accounts/identity.

‘Privacy is necessary for an open society in the electronic age’. Private messaging should exist where the ppl *are* as most will sacrifice their privacy for an ounce of convenience, and not think twice.
