Randomly looking at real estate prices in Costa Rica this morning. The capital inflows of people looking for a change of lifestyle since Covid are so stark. It’s hard to comprehend quite how fast local ticos are being shut out of their dreams in their own country. Would be interesting to go back in time and talk to cantillon about international cantillon effect in a globalised world with a corrupted fiat reserve currency.
