Was working with an old client today. He used to be a normal, cheerful guy and, if anything, a bit of a cynic. Covid broke his brain though. Now he's scared, scatterbrained and apparently always sick. It's a tragedy and I can't imagine how many more there are out there just like him or worse.
Discussion
Was it COVID or the vaccines he probably got?
Vaccines
We'll, it's the vaccines making him physically sick but fear of covid drove him mad.
I believe the answer to these social problems is community discussion. People need to talk openly again about fears, liabilities, concerns, hopes, and dreams. There will probably be a legitimate pandemic at some point, and the only weapon capable of combating paralyzing fear is human community support. I wore a mask. I social distanced. I worried about sickness and death. Try to put a mRNA vaccine in my arm and I’ll give you a shot you won’t recover from.
Living in Melbourne during the lockdowns, one of the most striking things I noticed was how they destroyed all sense of community and turned neighbours against one another. Everyone became a potential vector for transmission. It was utterly poisonous and a lot of people have internalized that now. Being one of the dissenters from the very beginning, I have to admit I still carry a lot of anger around with me, too.
You're completely right, of course, in what you say - I just don't know how we get there from here.
