What is the best non conventional excuse you have ever used or heard to get out of work for a day. Not I'm sick or my mom died, something unique.

Real Example - "Hey Mike this is Jack, I can't come in today, I got sprayed by a skunk waking to my car this morning".

It was almost true, I went to my car, there was a skunk playing around it. I almost stepped on it, it didn't spray me but I wasn't about to make him leave. So I was going to be late if I went in, then I got an idea 💡.
