So in the west fresh food is expansive and junk food is cheap, makes sense poorer people are more obese. But here in Guatemala (crazy rates of obesety), its the opposite. Normal stores have ultra-junk processed shit while markets have fresh and cheaper food.

And suddenly it doesnt add up. Poor people here arent obese only if they are literally on street not receiving calories.

Processed food is the wurst, I mean the worst. Keeping away of it as much as possible. Growing as much of it as possible too.

Hmmm I can only imagine the fresh stuff you can buy in Guatemala. Why would anyone go for the processed stuff? Laziness? Don't know better? Used to the "taste"?
