In our estimation, it seems NixOS is a stronger competitor in the fully open sourced metric over Docker (docker images) as a company. It unnerves us a bit when a company is behind an open sourced product. Even though, there are many companies that create open source products.

It seem a purist example is Bisq (https://bisq.network). No CEO, no company, just a pure open source foundation.

This maybe an unpopular opinion, but needs to highlighted nonetheless.

This is why we don't use docker images for Sovran_SystemsOS from the factory.

To be noted: it seems a lot of great innovation and progress has happened because of Docker and their products.
