we only use approx geolocation (10 miles radius) and you can be as anon as you like..
if you know of a way to connect people locally without knowing where they are, we'd love to hear it
Let the user pick/choose a location
Don't invade their personal space. Automatic geolocation of a Bitcoiner is a huge no-no
that sounds good in theory, in practice what would happen if that people will change their location for fun / travel and forget to change it back, basically rending the app unusable
it will also allow for bad actors to be able to scope around
we do allow turning off showing the approximate distance, for extra privacy
We did something better. 😉
