One that I found so far is that Tutanota is completely open source. And I can download the app via obtainium on Android.

One of the reasons I want to stop using proton is that their development team keeps making breaking changes to the app, and tuta being open source means that if things randomly break, I can at least just use an older version.

I use tuta, i regret it. Outlook or Proton are way better. Tuta has no bridge, so no real app. Their judt sucks. No search

Is their app just a window to their web app? I was wondering about that.

Basically yes. I am too lazy to switch now

Hard changing emails

Proton’s unlimited email aliases feature is 👌

So I was informed by proton that they do have GitHub repos for their apps, and this "feature-incomplete" version they pushed to everyone isn't actually on there. So I just obtainium'd the old release and now everything's back to normal.

Spotify did something similar a while back where they just pushed a de facto beta version of their app as a stable release and everyone hated it. It was so bad I just went back to pirating. I was worried this was going to happen again with proton, but luckily crisis averted thanks to GitHub releases.
