Today is a good day to remember that the 16th amendment is one of the worst amendments. It was passed after alcohol was banned. Alcohol taxes were a large revenue for the federal government, and they needed something to plug the hole. The 16th amendment went full send with no restrictions. What could go wrong after all? Just give the government the right to tax individuals that will balance the budget.
