Imagine how Softwar, the funny spaceboi graduate thesis about Bitcoin, has been undergoing serious expansion and refinement for two years now, entirely behind closed doors, while the rest of the world remains ignorant of it and a large part of the Bitcoin community actively rejects or denounces it.

Softwar makes complete sense

Boo! I haven't read it but have strong opinions against 🍅🍅

You wanna know the best part about Lowery on Twitter in 2022-23? Every time he said anything, the most opposed replies would always be in line with what his power projection theory predicts.

One point was that many armies throughout history were fully prepared to fight the last war, not knowing the next war would be different. So too are many bitcoiners fully prepared to use Bitcoin to fight the war of Sound Money, not knowing that new technologies bring different battles. But throughout his time writing the thesis, he would get respondants who vehemently, angrily, defiantly validated that lesson of history.

You seem to be pretty big on his writings, so don't wanna trash talk him, just from what I saw on Twitter he didn't really process any of the good replies he got from others I listen to

Lol I don't mind. Because I understand the thesis and can recognize when someone else doesn't. And it's always the people who have made Bitcoin their whole personality.

His algorithmic banning of accounts and the subsequent responses was just amazing to watch as a real-time case study.

I read it

My only take away was "money gives you power"

Yah no shit Sherlock

It's very rare to meet anyone that can perform the thought experiment of "what if Bitcoin was useful as money, but the system itself fundamentally solves for a more general problem. So let's try to describe the general problem and then how Bitcoin solves it."

But the money narrative is 16 years strong and hard to break out, especially when you have PTSD from fighting shitcoiners and big blockers, or too much confidence in pure software, or too much of an aversion to violence. All of which are prevalent among bitcoiners.

I'm listening to it on fountain, thanks to some schmuck named Jay ;)

I hope you're enjoying it 😄😂
