What if there was a stong, flexible materaial that when managed properly could regrow itself for 1000 years. What if it could also feed animals, making living fences & charcoal? What if it could be multiplied by just sticking pieces of it in the ground?

They do this in Vanuatu but not with willow. They have to periodically pollard the fence with a machete to stop the wind from knocking them over.
