Wherever there are resources to take, capital will flow. Wherever there is cheaper labor to exploit, corporations will settle. Where labor laws are less established, where government may be efficiently bribed, and where human rights may be easily subordinated to profits, America will show up with a glowing halo to spread “democracy.”
