Node running is not hard. People are just lazy and retarded, so they *hear* it's hard and repeat it, or they hit the smallest roadblock and decide a little whiff of friction is too much.

Node running is frankly one of the easiest things you can do with a computer in terms of effort-to-reward practicality. The retard-level takes on lightning we've seen over the past 18 months are astounding. If you are *actually* that tech-weak maybe this whole idea of radical freedom tech just isn't for you. But if you're just parroting what you read without trying it out for yourself, congratulations. You're the problem.

I am wanting to get a miner and join a pool. Maybe a shitstain segment on beginning mining if you have any info.

yeah I can talk about my personal experience with an S9 and mining in Braiins pool

I only have an avalon nano 3 at the moment. That was an easy setup. Not sure about other (bigger) miners

Just ordered my nano 3. Will heat up the basement in the winter nicely

You think so? I haven’t really tested it out in terms of heating… but I kinda doubt it 😅

Over the past few months, it has never been easier with updated versions of Start9/Umbrel, AlbyHub and Zeus rolling out their Olympus LSP to get a node up and running.

Spencer and I helped Sir TJ the Wrathful from the Doerfels set up a node and it was his first time ever flashing an ISO on a thumbdrive which proves to me if you want it bad enough you will give it a shot. His main reason for building one was he wanted to use Helipad to see the Boostagrams people were sending to his family's music so they could be thanked.

I guess it's too much work if all you are worried about is Zapping someone 21 sats on a new social media platform.
