He was on here for a while but then went back to his pleroma instance. After that he went onto a lefty misskey hugbox instance that I couldn't interact with on fedi. I just saw a few days ago that he was looking for work (his posts can still federate to me even though he can't see mine). Some people were responding to "give up on the trans thing" and I was like wtf?

Went looking through his post history and his wife left him months ago. He apparently had always had this shit in the back of his mind since he was a teen. But the reason this has blackpilled me is that he was interacting with the wider fedi for years. He would have seen all the gruesome surgery photos and all the mental illness and the high suicide rates etc and still just decided "yeah this is for me".

I was already blackpilled on the idea that online discourse could have any effect whatsoever on politics but now I feel like literally everything is just a waste of time tbh. I genuinely feel physically sick about this one.
