i may just have to come to terms with the fact that i prefer podcasts and audiobooks now.
im still holding on to the kid who grew up in the country without a tv, and read a book a week.

It's something I had to kind of cope with for a little while, but I do really like audiobooks and podcasts.
The only time I read a physical book now is if it's a story that I'm really fond of or a denser topic Like an economics book or a technical book. I have lots of physical copies of technical books now. 😅
yeah. same.
history books, technical books, old books….
I'm a fart reader, audiobooks feel so slow to me. You can jack up the speed but I find that uncomfortable. I guess I process information more quickly visually than through audio.
hm.
you should explain this fart language. is it tonal or duration based?
I still enjoy books, but podcasts and audiobooks are my go to.
Daily, I drive a couple of hours, walk my dog for about 2hrs and workout for almost 1hr. That's 5hrs a day that I can use to study and learn about the world through audio form.
Books are nice for when I settle down at night or when having a chill morning. But for the most part, they're just not as efficient.
yep.
the do two things at once factor is a big part of it.
2 different things 2 different experiences
