My latest angle, that seems to be working (at least theoretically), is that with AI coming online faster and faster, there could be a time in the near future where we wouldn’t know if a message from a loved one was actually from them at all.. strong cryptography and PGP/GPG keys are the solution.
With regard to our money and the need for privacy around our spending habits, explaining the part where one’s health pass is connected to one’s bank account, and you get a ‘high cholesterol’ reading and are then prevented from buying a burger.
Or you reach your ‘carbon limit’ and are prevented from buying a bus or plane ticket.
Or you miss a couple car payments due to financial hardship and get locked out of your EV..
Painting a simple picture of how lack of privacy in the age of AI can mess with anyone makes it more graphic ..
