AT THE NILE, WEEPING

By the Nile, I knelt praying,

My soul wandered in the desert of consciousness

Lost and tired like blood-soaked hands of the tyrant

She climbed the mountain of light

While diving into the bodies of the nonexistent

And set up a shrine for my body

And invited the creatures of darkness.

By the Nile, I knelt crying,

My soul is building a castle from the lost moments

Enclosed by walls from the spears of survival

She descended into the blackness

And smoked the clouds of destruction.

By the Nile, I am entrapped in the mind,

Locked on the horizon.
