Amethyst is now also on F-Droid's main repo (quite an old version, though):

Humble #plebchain question πŸ™‹

How do you as develop of πŸ€– balance updating the different β€œmini” platforms like Google Play F-droid and others?

How similar different is it for a developer like yourself? Want to better understand your experience creating.

Congrats! Most people don't know what an achievement that is. It means at the very least you did not cut corners in the creation of your product as the standards to openness are quite high on F-Droid.

And now to get a routine of keeping it updated there, too. That should be the easier part.

The hard part is that they seem to run release cycles between 2 days and 2 weeks, which is extremely slow for our release cycle.

Do you plan to update the f-droid repo as frequently as PlayStore? I'd love to switch to f- droid

F-Droid updates are a lot slower than the play store (the version we have there is 2 weeks old :( )

Everyone using f-droid should switch to obtanium.

Awesome. Do you know if it is possible to optimise something for less battery consumption? Or make it optional. Or maybe I just need a new phone ;) thank you for this awesome client for Android.
