Yep. I don't believe there is a political solution via democracy, especially not with a totalitarian system that is already this entrenched.
There IS still a solution though, and that is to decouple from that system. They only have as much control as we allow them to take.
Yes, this reminds me of a great Buckminster Fuller quote:
“You never change something by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”
Bitcoin and decentralized p2p tech are the solution.
