So basically, BirdApp is just going to become one giant Substack-like variant except every other tweet that is shown or referenced will show “please subscribe” to see this content. Not exactly “Free” speech, Elon.

We need to zap-pill the newbies. It saddens me when I discover some rad photographer or artist and then - GASP 😮 - they are NOT zappable…
Also we gotta do this not just to expand the circle but to break our own echo chambers. Im already starting to feel zappability starting to color my sense of whether someone is worth engaging with or not - even if I COMPLETELY disagree with this notes and other stuff lol. I try to actively work against this, but it will calcify over a long enough time…
Twitter has a thousand nostriches nipping at it. If twtr doesn’t roll out monetization for content creators they will leave.
